Marcel Digital Attends 23rd Annual Streetwise A Hand Up Gala

Marcel Digital recently had the pleasure of attending our friends at StreetWise’s 23rd annual fundraising gala for A Hand Up on October 6th, 2016, at the Museum of Broadcast Communications in downtown Chicago. StreetWise is a Chicago based organization that helps homeless and at-risk individuals out of the crisis of poverty with employment opportunities, soft-skills job training, and supportive social services.

About The A Hand up Gala

The event was attended by over 300 people who have supported StreetWise throughout the years and featured special guest speakers Kim Foxx, who was recently elected Cook County State’s Attorney, retired NFL football player Eugene Monroe, and also featured 2016 Vendor of the Year, Lewis Hale, who proposed to his girlfriend during the event. The gala also had a raffle and live auction where prizes included a Breckenridge cabin package, a trip to Galena, tickets to upcoming United Center concerts, as well as a VIP package to an upcoming White Sox game.

Contributions and donations to the fundraising gala assist in providing access to employment opportunities, social services, housing, financial training, legal support and advocacy for those seeking to build a better life.
