Giving Back: Volunteering with Project C.U.R.E.

As part of Marcel Digital’s ongoing commitment to giving back, our team recently spent the day volunteering at Project C.U.R.E.’s warehouse in Woodridge, IL. On September 3rd, we joined their incredible effort to sort thousands of medical items that will ultimately reach communities in need around the world.

Our Day at the Warehouse

We started with the first phase of sorting - checking expiration dates and ensuring that only usable medical supplies moved forward in the process. From there, we organized items into grouping bins so they could later be packed and shipped.

Walking through the warehouse, we were struck by the sheer scale of the operation. Project C.U.R.E. processes massive amounts of donated medical equipment and supplies, and each shipping container requires roughly 800 hours of volunteer time to fully sort, pack, and prepare for delivery. While our team’s contribution represented just a small part of that effort, it gave us a meaningful glimpse into the dedication required to make such lifesaving work possible.

The experience left our team with a deep appreciation for the mission of Project C.U.R.E. and a strong desire to continue supporting their work.
